You got to think about who owns The Muppets,DISNEY.They like to make a big demand for all their properties, like it's going to make people want them any more, they might sell them faster but I doubt they will sell any more than if they continued to release shows and movies on DVD.
They have that freakin' Vault Disney, some children are probably deprived of seeing Disney classic cartoon movies for many years until they are released again.Everyday children are coming of age that they will enjoy cartoon movies but some idiot came up with this idea to try to make more money.
They don't hardly release any of their Disney Channel teen shows on DVD,especially in the US,but recently they have released some of the newer shows in regions other than region 1.I'm thinking that other country branches of Disney are in charge of releasing shows in their countries but what does that say about US Disney,do they really care about their other viewers?
They own ABC and ABC Family so their adult shows that they think will sell more are their #1 priority to be released on video.
There is also two media formats to manufacture,DVD and Blu-ray and now 3D Blu-ray.So older shows are put off from being released. The Muppet show season 3 was released May 20,2008 and the first Blu-ray movies were released June 20,2006 but it probably didn't really gain momentum until maybe 2 or 3 years that would have been like in 2009 when season 4 of The Muppet Show would have been released.
They don't think about adults that once were kids and might be interested in buying shows on DVD/BRD like they watched when they were kids like The Muppet Show or shows with kids in them.
