The hold up on seasons 4 and 5 might be to put the movies on Bluray

None of The Muppets franchise movies are on Blu-ray yet. Disney might be coinciding the release of season 4 with those releases. There is also a new "The Muppets" movie coming out in theaters November 23, 2011, so I guess it's all going to go down all at once. I did a little research on Amazon.com and I found out that The Muppets Take Manhattan and Muppets From Space are coming out August 16, 2011 in Blu-ray/DVD combo packs and are available for pre-order. I'm hoping that Disney releases the season 4 DVD set a couple of weeks before The Muppets is released in theaters and releases season 5 the same day that The Muppets is released on DVD. It's been too long, I don't care how short the period of time is between the releases of seasons 4 and 5.

I'm sure they'll get to it soon, since the recent movie did quite a lot to bringing the muppets back in the spotlight.

I'm pretty sure we'll see the releases of the last two seasons of "The Muppet Show". The movie was a big success,so releasing 4&5 should be guaranteed.

Any connection between your reality and mine is purely coincidental.

I think not that Disney will bring out the last two seasons on DVD or any other media because of copyrights of the musical numbers which costs them a big amount of money. Thats one reason that some of the musical number are cuted out from the episodes for their DVD releases.

AND THATS VERY DISSAPOINTING.

Exactly those Musical Numbers are fantastic. Who don't remember Julie Andrews The lone Goatherd spoof from "The Sound of music" (ok, this one was on DVD) or Elton John's Crocodile Rock or "Don't breaking my heart" with Miss Piggy?

Here in Germany/Switzerland/Austria for the DVD Release for "Melrose Place"/"Beverly Hills 90210" the most "original" songs are changed and new are added which destroy in a incredible way the charme of the orignal version. Any scenes are terrible edited.
