Over lighting?
I was watching “The Muppet Show” recently, and it seemed to me that the show was over lit. By that, I mean that a lot of the scenes looked so bright, like the lights they were using to light the scene were turned up way too high. I know that a set always has to be illuminated by lights, otherwise it would look too dark for the people watching it, but the lighting in “The Muppet Show” seems so bright as to almost call attention to itself. I don’t know if this is just a product of the time since some other old TV shows I’ve seen have also seemed to be over lit (“Family Ties” and “Full House” are two examples that come to mind). Does anyone know why this is?
