By off chance, does anybody know the lyrics to "Night After Night" that Lenny and Squiggy performed on "Second Almost Annual Shotz Talent Show" Season 3-
OMG I know I have that episode recorded somewhere on one of my million vhs tapes of Laverne & Shirley, but I have NO clue where it would be as none ar labelled. :(
Night after Night I held you in my arms. Night after Night I sampled all your charms. Night after Night lately I can tell you're marching to a wedding bell.
I only want to do what's right, but who wants to look at the same broad night after night? (4X)
Night after Night I treat you like a queen, darling. Night after Night cause you were seventeen. Night after Night then you're birthday rolled around. So you let me go to town.
Now I've lost my appetite, 'cause even true love can be boring night after night. (4X)
We have nothing in common girl - You know that's a fact. To marry you girl, I’d have to be cracked.
Night after Night I'll think of you and smile, darling. Night after Night but only for a while. Night after Night then I'll find me someone new.
Who won't be someone dumb like you. Someone who won't know how to fight. And who wont make me sleep on the sofa night after night. (5X)
I'm not the person that was aksed but YES! I do have the album.
I remember seing it in a record store back in 1980 but (stupid me) didn't ask my mother to buy it for me. (Whether she would have I'll never know.)
Anyhow, about 30 years go by and I finally see it again on Ebay..$100. Message to seller," Ah,thanks but no thanks and "are you nuts?!"
Last year (and this si so amazing to me) I found it at a local record store here in Phoenix,Az for *** $1.99!!! *** in the store "el-cheap-o" rack.
The alnbum is in A+ shape and is hilarious.
" Lenny & Squiggy Present Lenny and the Squigtones" , was released on the Casablanca label in 1979. It's recorded live at the Roxy in Hollywood and they perform parodies of 50's rock ballads ("Night After Night," "Creature Without a Head").
In between, there's plenty of schtick and patter ("So's Your Old Testament," "Babyland").
The album is now a collector’s item because of credited guitar work by future Spinal Tap member Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Guest).
I recently watched all 8 seasons of the show on DVD and "Night After Night" still cracks me up.

There is nothing wrong with replying to an old post.
It is so awesome that you own that album.
Thank you for breathing some much needed life into this board. Please feel free to visit the boards for some of my favorite '70s shows like "Happy Days", "The Partridge Family", "The Waltons", "Good Times" and "Welcome Back Kotter". The board for "The Brady Bunch" is usually hopping.
Those are my faves too (although I actually haven;t seen The Waltons since the 1980s.)
I'm sure I don't have to tell you Good Times is on Antenna TV (Seen 'em all.) and that W.B. Kotter,Partridge Family & Brady Bunch are on ME TV (Still trying to see them all.) I can;t seem to find Happy Days reruns though.
It shouldn't be a surprise that messaage boards for singular TV shows are slow. When IMDb first started,no doubt they were flooded with messages. Now with the world internet being 22 years old, people aren't as excited by it.
I don't know if you 've looked but I did the HUGE task of filling in over 140 plotline descriptions for Laverne & Shirley last year. Now they're all complete.
I thought it was an insult that they weren't done already. So I watched the series on DVD's from my local library and got it done. Mostly Season's 5,6,7 & 8. (All of 6 & I think 7 actually.)

Michael McKean wrote most of the Lenny and Squiggy songs and collaborated with Christopher Guest and Harry Shearer on the Spinal Tap ones. He also wrote, with his wife, Annette O'Toole, the Oscar nominated song from "A Mighty Wind", "A Kiss at the End of the Rainbow". The guy is a total genius in my book
