Other than Lenny & Squiggy, the supporting cast of characters was weak

Big Ragoo? Not funny. Mrs. Babish had a mean streak (remember the episode with her daughter Amy, or the one where she was pissed about the building being run down), and a little of Mr. DeFazio went a long way. And don't get me started on awful Rhonda. Early on in the series, they had characters who were funnier and quirkier (Mrs. Haven wurst, the landlady; Big Rosie; Hector; other former members of the Angora Debs), but were phased out in favor of the others.

I totally agree. I do consider Lenny & Squiggy more main characters though, even if the show might not have. It's like you have the core 4 and then everyone else.

Carmine, Edna, and Frank could have disappeared anytime throughout the run and I doubt I'd even notice. The guy who played Frank was just horrible imo. Edna wasn't that bad, but I just couldn't connect with her. Carmine tends to just kind of be there. I sorta think of him as some kind of extension of Shirley to be honest. He just doesn't stand out on his own.

I love Mrs. Havenwurst. I like me some kooky characters like her.

As for Rhonda and Sonny, California never happened as far as I'm concerned, so they don't count in my eyes. :P

I, too, totally agree. I love the main 4, and Big Rosie was hilarious.

I always enjoyed this show as a kid and preferred it to Happy Days. Such a schemeil schmozzle of a fun show.
