Did Tyne Daly guest star once?

I could swear I remember a then little known Tyne Daly in an episode of this show playing a girl who son Willie was involved with. I think her character had some terminal disease. Does anyone out there remember this?

That wasn't Tyne Daly. Brooke Adams played the role of Willy Lawrence's doomed love. She had been accidentally exposed to radiation and was dying.
