British accent? Not on the Feud!

Richard's natural British accent that he had on "Hogan's Heroes" was missing from his "Family Feud" voice. I wonder if he had speech lessons or just naturally overcame it?

It seem like at times on Family Feud Richard Dawson was trying to talk like a southern guy at times.

Or maybe all of those impersonations Dawson did mostly on both Match Game, & Family Feud

You don't OVERCOME your NATURAL accent, especially seeing he moved to the States at the age of 30. By that time, it's pretty much ingrained in your vernacular. He clearly did a great job at putting on an American accent and kept it going his entire career post Hogan's Heroes.
