Playing along with old episodes
Watching the '70s episodes with Richard Dawson, it's fun to play along with the dated questions about celebrities, trying to recall who was well-known at the time and who came along later.
There was one particular episode that stuck in my mind, when they asked "Name a famous woman with an unusual first name." The number one answer was "Farrah Fawcett," but some of the other answers struck me as pretty bizarre because the names aren't that uncommon now (like Bella Abzug--"Bella" might not be an especially common name, but it's not particularly rare either) or because they were foreign names that aren't odd for their culture (Indira Gandhi). Curiously enough, while I was playing along, I thought of three unusually-named women who were well-known at the time --Tuesday Weld, Eartha Kitt, and Tippi Hedren--and none of them made the survey.
Does anybody else have any favorite "dated surveys"?
