reply

I am waiting as well and have been wondering when

Anybody finds out about vol.2 please let me in on it. You can even email me at my alternate email: [email protected] I'm also a big fan. I know it had nothing to do with reality but neither did M*A*S*H and it ran longer than the Korean Conflict.

I wrote to Universal and they replied saying that have no news yet.As they say no news is good news:)(meaning they had not decided to not come out with it:)

reply

I hate to say it but I dont think that those fools are going to release vol.2 because its already been 1 year and rockford files vol 2 is coming out after 6 months. Maybe if we start a petition. SGT. MC.

May Vol 1 didnt sell good enough to suit their tastes so the dont wanna risk doing anymore but i agree we should start one.Who do we send it to???

reply

that really pisses me off that there won't be a volume two. I loved that show and was so happy when I heard about the first volume comming out.

Is there anyone to email about this and hopefully convince them to change their minds. I know ALL BlackSheep fans want the remaining episodes.

I personally love the show. I don't know when VOL 2 is coming out but a couple of years ago I recorded all 37 episodes onto my computer and then copied them to disc. This was from the History Channel

Volume 2 has been relased in France. If you go to the French Amazon site you will see it there.

History Channel versions of the show are better than nothing. I guess we just have to keep on waiting.

Thanks for the info, I just ordered my set from France.

Your DVD player needs to be able to play DVDs from another region. I hear most are able to but are only set for the region where they are sold.

Received the 2nd set which was mentioned in the other posting above.

I just finished watching the first disc. So far I can say this about the set.

The Volume 2 Series comes on 4 DVDs. Unlike Vol. 1, Universal decided to use one-sided double-layer discs. On each disc are 3 episodes, totalling 11 Episodes (Episode 15&16 Deadliest Enemy of them all is a 2-hour special).

The DVDs are Region 2 encoded. The picture is PAL.

The DVDs have French and English mono 2.0 audio tracks.

2 French subtitles are availabe, but no english subtitles.

The DVD-Menu is in French, but that's no problem, you can easily navigate it, just takes 10 sec. to get used to it.

You can either select each episode individually or play all.

When the episodes start, it begins with the preview of the show just like it did in Vol. 1.

One thing I noticed though, when they first blend in the opening title, "...became the terrors of the South Pacific..." it is in French. The Episode title is blended in in English but also in French at the bottom. The credits remain in english.

The picture quality is good, could use some improvement though. Here I think the NTSC version of Vol. 1 was a bit better. The colors slightly seem to fluctuate. This might be because the movie was transferred from NTSC to PAL, don't really know though. They also didn't remove the small dust blemishes, which sometimes keep showing up. But hey, it's better than nothing. Also I can start throwing away my History Channel recordings since they're syndicated.

The shows on Discs are longer than the History Channel versions. If they're totally uncut remains to be unknown.

I hope I was able to give a somewhat detailed description of the French Vol. 2 Set of the Black Sheep Squadron.
