Jeb first appeared in Season 2 Episode 4

"Wolves in the Sheep Pen"

Air Date: 4 Jan 1978

He actually showed up in the episode where the 214 was flying the night missions. Jeb conveniently showed up when the pilot flying the radar equipped Corsair was wounded, which I beleive was the episode before Wolves in the Sheep's Pen.

I know that. In fact, Jebs' first appearance was the the episode when Black Sheep were flying night missions. The pilot flying the radar Corsair was wounded because the radar wasn't installed properly, it was upside down. Jeb reinstalled it the right way and guess what, it worked right. This earned the respect Pappy and the squadron.

We just finished watching our VHS-tape version of FORBIDDEN FRUIT, the first episode where Jeb Pruitt joins the Black Sheep. We are going thru Black Sheep Withdrawal, awaiting the release of the rest of the series here in the US. According to TV.com, Jeb joined the squadron in episode 31, just six shy of the end of the series. We wanted to correct some misinformation about the episode.

A previous message states, "Jebs' first appearance was the the episode when Black Sheep were flying night missions. The pilot flying the radar Corsair was wounded because the radar wasn't installed properly, it was upside down."

This is incorrect.

The pilot flying the Corsair with the radar attached was shot down by the Japanese as he approached Vella La Cava to help with the night mission. Once he landed, Micklin was instructed to move the radar to Pappy's plane, where he then began installing it upside down. Jeb instructs them about how to mount it properly, and, as the poster says, saves the day and the Black Sheep. (I always shed tears when they announce how they have adopted him as the littlest Black Sheep).

We've read the information about the volumes being released in other countries. We will wait until they are released here.
