I liked the old man in the beginning!
I liked him because he took out half the bad guys invading the family mansion! Please let me know if you like him also.

shareSir Joshua Kenyon Smith is indeed a badass son of a bitch. Calmly pulling out a .32 caliber pistol in the midst of a surprise attack by an army of brigands on his lunch and shooting them down until he runs out of ammunition as if this is something he does on a regular basis (maybe it is). His uttering a calm, resigned "Damn!" upon realization that he's out of bullets is perhaps the funniest moment of the film.
The gentleman was played by Billy Williams, the movie's cinematographer.
I can see it feeds from the right!!!
I don't know if my memory is playing tricks on me or not, but when I first saw that scene in the cinema Billy Williams, realising that his gun is empty and that he is about to die, comes out with a quiet, almost bored "damn."
The next time was on the TV and he had gotten a bit louder.
By the time the movie appeared on video Williams was roaring his head off.
I'd never seen it in theaters of course but he doesn't seem terribly loud on my DVD.
"I can tell you that I am very much uninterested in whether I am shot or not."
