When I was a kid, I couldn't even watch the doll chase Amelia around the apartment. Now, I got the video, I can watch the doll, so I assumed I could watch the ending where Amelia is crotched down slaming the butcher knife on the floor smiling, I still can't watch it! It gives me the creeps!

The whole thing is creepy, scary, least was for me as a kid...and I can't remove myself from that space that I was in when I first saw it. And yeah, Karen Black is scary enough as it is (see also Burnt Offerings), but that ending just puts the whole movie over-the-effin-top! Haven't seen it in years, though caught it several times on late-nite TV, prolly early 90s. There are some funny parts though, when the doll is clamped to her neck and she's shrieking, yet her mouth is closed (obvious dub). But that only slightly reduces the creepiness! lol
