Is it called anything?

The doll doesn't have a name in the movie (other then being called a Zuni fetish doll).

I don't know if it had a name in Richard Matheson's short story "Pray" on which it is based.

In the short story his name is He Who Kills.

I saw this as a kid and it has given me nightmares well into my 30s.

anyways, as a little kid I named him "Cut-Out" because he cut his way out of that suitcase.

So yeah, for me...the doll will forever be named Cut-Out.

He is called "He Who Kills" as mentioned by the previous poster, in the movie as well. You can see it is written on the paper that comes with the doll when Amelia first opens it, and Amelia herself also reads that name aloud at that time.
