How many others have heard this?
I heard that The Who had the rights to remake this film and intended to make it as a pornographic movie. Plans were already well underway, with Tommy cast as "Dick Stele" (Richard James) before Pete Townshend's pedophilia scandal buried the project.
I still would like to see it though.
