World Trade Center View in the Movie.

Wow, it was spooky yet breathtaking to see the enormous Twin Towers. View from Higgin's office of the city below reminded me of the terrors of 9/11. Even when they shot inside, I kept thinking that it's all gone now.

I loved that building and the movie brought back memories of that terrible day.

reply

And, given the movie's subject matter, eerie that the CIA offices are inside.

Non-sequiturs are delicious.

Back during my college years, I worked in the north tower of the World Trade Center for the Port Authoriy of New York and New Jersey. I remember thinking back then, as you looked down at the people walking along Church Street (and looking like ants from way up there in the building) if a fire ever hit the towers, that none of us would survive.

Little did we know back then in the early 1970s, that a bunch of crazed Islamic terrorists would bring the twin towers down and murder so many absolutely innocent people. I recall that the NYC firemen and policemen used the Brooks Brothers Clothing Store directly across the street in the Merryl Lynch building as a makeshift morgue for all of the bodies of the people who had jumped to their deaths rather than be consumed by the flames when the planes hit the buildings.

Never forget, my fellow Americans.

PS (Let's hope that Barry is up to the task of protecting the nation when we all stop to observe the horror and tragedy of 9/11 next week.)

You had faith in Dubya, did you?

The most profound of sin is tragedy unremembered.

I thought it was planned under Clinton's watch?

The government can not protect us from every evil that nut-jobs dream up. Nor should the government be expected to do such. The finger-pointing media only believes that it should.

Less than 20 suicidal terrorist with box cutters and fingernail files exploited a system where we were told to cooperate with hijackers for a safe release.

Their plan worked once but never again. The fourth jet proved that.

Please let us not get into the 911 hoax . . . the buildings were empty, and both buildings were professionally demolished . . . Condor, though, yes, it gives the film an eerie feeling, had nothing whatsoever to do with all that . . .

reply

Yes less than 20 suicidal terrorists who were able to implant demolition explosives and professionally demolish the buildings to fall into their own footprints ....after they were supposedly dead already.... oh and then hours later take down WTC7 perfectly with all the SEC papers investigating Dubbya's insider trading activities.
Condor parallels indeed...

reply

If that is what you believe you must also believe that Oswald killed Kennedy alone....

reply

Those towers in the film are an ironic and heartbreaking metaphor for the uselessness of the CIA to protect us against the 9/11 plot. What a senseless organization the CIA is!

reply

yeah, I was wondering about that violet floor. How long did that last?

reply

I'm not even American and seeing them got me all emotional and shit. I wonder how born New Yorkers feel about it :(
