remake

Ok, before we go any further, let me say that I am just as against a remake as the next person. But I'm just curious, who would you cast in a remake? And let's exclude the 1995 TV movie from this discussion.

I'd cast Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder.

Johnny Carson 1925-2005. We will never forget you.

I'm totally against a remake too, though the Woody Allen-Peter Falk TV movie wasn't bad. That said, I like your suggestions, and here are too more: Martin Landau and Don Rickles.

I'm not a remake fan either, but since this is based on a play there's an expectation that it will be performed by a number of actors.

How's that for a remake justification?

I was thinking about this not long ago and I'd like to see it adapted for Larry David as Willy Clark and Gene Simmons as Al Lewis.

I'd even like to see an original vehicle written for the two of them, there just seems to be a gasoline and match chemistry that could be explored as a funny as hell movie.
