I just saw this for the first time via DVD off Netflix. I have never laughed so hard. When they were trying to set up the set in Willy's apartment I laughed so hard I couldn't breathe, had to cross my legs. I have no idea how Walter Matthau was able to keep a straight face when he'd utter a one-liner.
For a vaudeville couple of "old geezers who can't stand each other" they sure were good. That was going pretty good too until Al started spitting at Willie and then jabbing him with his finger.
