Earlier in the film he would sort of flick his nose from the inside really quickly, I think this was supposed to be a reference back to that, but it didn't come across very well because he didn't do it enough to establish it as a thing they did.
shareYeah that's basically it. He called his sidekick Ratnose earlier, and the nose flicking was sort of their secret handshake per say. He did it in comemeration of his dead buddy, but as the poster before me said, it didn't come off right.
