I dont know about all you folks but i would have liked to have seen the 'hero' escape from the maurading people in the end, it would have been a better movie for me, as for some reason, i always like to see someone survive in these movies.
What do you all think?

I think the point was the sooner or later, everyone succumbs to their animal, sexual impulses. That's why Cronenberg doesn't let anyone get away at the end.
