The dress was bought for over 50,000 by Johnny Depp as a gift to then g/f Kate Moss, in the mid 1990s.
Depp was reportedly very excited to work with Julie Christie in Finding Neverland in 2005 and with great success!
I am not sure, but, i indeed know Anthea Sylbert, a great costume designer married to legendary Production Designer Richard Sylbert, was the effective costume designer! I remember however hearing the black dress had been created by Givenchy.
Again i could not swear on this, but, my mother was very friendly with the whole crowd, and, played one of the Hair Salon's frantic costumers as a favor to the Producers. No she's never wanted nor tried to pursue acting, i guess she just accepted to make some fun of herself!
I am really happy she did, this movie is the most true, most phenomenal movie about LA,better about Beverly Hills/Bel Air/Malibu, ever written, made, produced and directed! And Julie Christie is always terrific, luminous, incredible, here she is also a Goddess! Unforgettable! Over anyone else!
