Shampoo is a great and funny cult classic and period piece. Particularly for those that experienced the late '60's and '70's free sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll life style.

shareI agree about the period piece aspect you bring up about it as an exploration of both the joys and consequences of the late 60s and 70s free love vibe, but it was the 4th highest grossing film of 1975 which wouldn't make it "cult".

There's nothing like that today and the Film is a masterpiece! The low IMDB's rating is a shame, due to some demented youngsters commenting on movies they should be only so lucky to get to watch!
