I keep reading that Eddie was Frank's former lover. Where in the film was it said that Eddie and Frank were former lovers?

When Columbia blows up at Frank - "I loved you - you hear me? I loved you!", there is a part about (not verbatim, just my memory), 'you just use people and spit them out, first me, then Eddie'. Or something like that. Its not right out said, but more of an implication.

Yes, he ponders splitting Eddie's brain between the two of them.

Columbia "....First you spurn me for Eddie, and then you throw him off like an old overcoat for Rocky!....."

Applying that Frank left her to be with Eddie. Then left Eddie for Rocky.

Frank doesn't denied it or even directly reply, so it's assume what Columbia said is true.
