Interesting thought! Maybe in the 90s when his favourite people were a similar age to the original characters: Helena Bonham-Carter would've been lovely as Magenta, Johnny Depp as the Doc...don't know who could have played Columbia, though.

sharePlease, no. So many of his movies are unwatchable and he'd probably try to use that no-talent Johnny Depp somewhere. Burton has had so many bombs lately that he's probably relegated to bottom-of-the-pile scripts these days; can't imagine any studio is going to green light a re-make of TRHPS for him!
