In the scene where Locke/Robertson checks into the hotel where he is eventually killed, the desk clerk tells him: "Your wife is already here." He goes on to say that he doesn't need to see a passport as he has seen Mrs. Robertson's. What is she doing with a passport in that name unless she is Mrs. Robertson? Has everybody else already noticed this, except for me?
Yeah, I agree. I think there's evidence that "Daisy" is his wife and Maria seems to show up wherever "Daisy" is scheduled to be, i.e. London and Barcelona etc. That would explain why her passport says Mrs. Robertson and why she had no problem picking his stuff up at the first hotel.
She probably followed through because she was curious about the other women in her husband's life. That's why she insisted that Jack go to all the places and didn't just go off to Tangiers like he wanted her to. And why she didn't answer Jack's repeated query on why she was with him. And why she wasn't surprised by the gun or the people chasing him, etc.
Gee, I saw this yesterday afternoon and somehow just accepted it without thinking. But now that you mention it ....Robertson was British - the passports have the same cover. That would explain how Nicholson would see Schneider in London at what looks like the Bloomsbury Square complex near Tavistock Sq.
Too coincidental and too frightening a prospect. I prefer not to think of her as anyone's wife, just another lost soul. She didn't seem like the "let's maintain this charade" type.
But don't we see a photo of Robertson's wife, if that's what we assume her to be? She has the same hairstyle as 'the girl' but it is clearly not Schneider. Confusing...
