Shower

Have you noticed that right after Locke returns to the hotel in the begining of the movie, he switches on the shower, water is running and then for the rest of the scene, he forgets about it?
He drinks water from the glass and then goes to the next room where he finds Robertson dead. All this time the water is still running (imagine the scene: in the middle of the desert, Locke is spanding the most valuable think!). When he returns to his room trying to change photos in the passports, the water is not running anymore!!!
Obviously, the whole hotel tank was been left without water by Locke who does not care.
When i watched for the first time the movie i was astonished by the lst scene. Now i cannot forget the water spent without reason.

Great spot!

Also, just before Locke leaves Robertson's room, he calls the reception and asks about the next flight out. The clerk says something like, "Not for two days," but as he says this, he is shown turning off a dripping tap against the wall behind him. I wondered about the strangeness of this at the time, and now it makes sense. Wasteful Westerners!!

When he calls down to ask about flights (the clerk tells him "three days,"), the clerk realizes that Locke is out of the shower and shuts the valve off.

also re: the drinks the hotel worker brought him. Glass is empty except for ice but next shot nicholson picks up glass with the water already in it! Also, the miniature chess boards mysteriously moves (continuity goof) when nicholson finds robertson dead and is walking around his body on the bed: one moment the board is by his arm then a few seconds later it's by his knee!

Have I just walked into some bizarre parallel universe?

I think the strangest think is that in that hotel (with avaliability of running water also to shower) they have mineral water to drink too but NOT a soap for washing!!!
