It's also one of the worst I've seen by Nichilson and Antonioni and I've seen many of their works. How it gets such high ratings is a bigger mystery than why Locke tries to take on a guy's identity without really knowing everything in his head, phone numbers or addresses, contacts, and so on which probably were not written down. Unless you say it's all a dream no way that he could slip into that guy's life for so long. Having the girl show up in two dirfferent countries is also highly contrived unless she was following him. I don't buy that she was with the bad guys. Locke put her life at risk sending her to the hotel to see who is following him. She was a naive drifter / contrivance.
