Why the hell is this not on Criterion!!!???

Um, "Nashville" is screaming for a home video update, don't you think? It's such a unique masterpiece and such an important film that speaks volumes even today and all we are stuck with is a lame, grainy, barebones DVD.

If any film should be added to the Criterion Collection it should be "Nashville". Plus, Criterion would be way more inclined to release it on Blu-Ray as well.

I bet they would even re-release the soundtrack along with it.

Altman's "Short Cuts" got a Criterion release, it's time for "Nashville" to follow!!!

Maybe it has to do with licensing and video distribution rights.

In the UK it still isn't even on DVD; I had to buy the American disc. Criminal.

Look for an official announcement soon, Criterion IS going to release it later this year.

The Criterion disc for "Nashville" is pretty damn incredible.
