Unedited version anywhere?
Was the unedited version ever released on any medium? Is it on the first VHS release? on an overseas DVD? every version I've ever seen was edited

shareNetflix just added this to instant, and If THAT was an edited version that I just saw, then this was originally a x-rated movie.
Tons of nudity.
I watched Netflix version and its edited. I saw it in the theater when it came out. The main editing is they used the clothed takes. In the unedited version all the women were naked most of the time showing boobs and bush. The whorehouse scene was longer showing full nudity and sex. The Mandingo sex scene was edited, Susan George showed more boob before they laid on the bed. The slave trader scene near the beginning was edited. When he was checking for hemorrhoids he put his nose up the slave's butt and kept it there.
sharewow.
Saw it in America ?

Yeah, That wasn't in there. Had full frontal a couple of times though.
There's no version ever released longer than 127 minutes. So if you saw all of that in the theater then something else was cut out of the movie.

You cannot possibly know that for a fact. Who are you, the resident official movie original running time expert or something? I rented a VHS copy around 1978 that showed all the scenes missing in all the later releases, including the head up the arse close up and the gaping neck hole close-up. Running time can be increased if it is copied at a slightly slower undetectable speed. They speed movies up all the time on TV to make them shorter for more commercials and you cannot tell unless the movie has a well known song and it sounds too fast.
