Jeremy Statham (the cool English guy who starred in Guy Ritchie's Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch as well as the Transporter movies) is starring in a remake of this great action movie. Should be wild. I wonder who'll portray the Robert Duvall character that kneecaps Mike Locken (the James Caan character). Pretty harrowing thing to do to your best friend. It's scheduled for 2010 but we'll see.

These days taking an old film title and removing the word "The" is considered daring and creative. Hey, at least the producers of "Killer Elite" put more thought into the title than the makers of "The Thing" prequel.
