When the shark attacks the Orca at night and Brody retrieves his revolver from his bag, a bright objects flies across the sky behind him. It looks like a meteorite. Does anyone know what this is and was it meant to be in the film?
shareShooting star. Depends on what you read the shooting star actually happened or it did not. Likely it was not real as number one such a thing would likely not show up on film so splendidly and two many of the night scenes were actaully shot in daytime and just made to look like nighttime (Chrissy's shark attack was filmed in daylight).
Spielberg said there was no real significance to the shooting stars. Artistic license I guess.
