When Hooper suggests they cut open the Tiger shark, he says whatever it ate in the last 24 hours will be in there - but surely more than one day has passed since the kid's death?

According to Hendricks, Mrs Kintner likely put her add in Field & Stream, but I doubt she did that the same day as the attack itself to be published and seen overnight by all manner of wouldbe fishermen - wouldn't it be 2-4 days later?

Skeletal remains may have still been in there, as well as parts of the raft or Alex's bathing suit. Non meat objects would probably take much longer to process in a sharks digestive system, if ever. Most likely the license plate had been in there for a long time.
