attack scene in this film is when Quint crushes his metal beer can and Hooper laughingly replies by crushing his paper cup? Yes, the talk about other sharks and the Indianapolis scene is also excellent. At least the Quint/Hooper scene is the most fun if it's not exactly the best non-Bruce scene.

Or which scene not involving Bruce or any of his attacks/appearances do you say is best, and which the most fun?

I wouldn't say that this particular scene is "fun" as you're describing however I must say that whenever I see the dolly zoom shot of Brody witnessing the Kintner boy being pulled under the water, it makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up....
