An unanswered question

Just one thing about this film remains a mystery to me: what happened to the full, uncut version?

The movie is full of obvious deletions, as evidenced by a discontinuity in the music (four or five times) and/or obvious changes in the scene that are unaccounted for by the action that you see on the screen. But, I have never seen evidence of a "XXX" version, only versions of the same, chopped up for general "art house" release that you find on Amazon.com.

Any ideas here?

Unfortunately, I can't offer you an answer; I was wondering the same thing. I watched the trailer and there was the odd moment that I didn't remember being in the film. Hopefully with the current obsession with DVD/Blu-ray releases packed with extra features/deleted scenes, etc., someone will come out with a full version!

I’ve probably seen every version there is and there’s not much difference in any of them, some cut out the whipping scenes for like an r rated version. The most uncut only has a few minutes of Rene teaching O to kneel in her apartment,. He calls her up on the phone and orders her to take all her clothing off and wait by him by the door kneeling.

The uncut version was aired on the FilmFour channel (a part of the UK's Channel 4 network).
