Ummm, if it was from the part I'm thinking of...
Betsie gets sick. They send her to the hospital but she later dies.
Corrie is happy for Betsie and begins to share the gospel with everyone like her sister did.
Corrie is released from the camp on December 28th along with some other women. That nurse and the pregnant girl stay.
At the very end, the real Corrie ten Boom makes an appearance and talks about her life after the war.
I got the movie from my library so you might want to try that and see if you can get it to see the ending.
Un-shun. Re-shun.
I'm not sure where the action stopped for you, but day by day Betsie and Corrie's ministry in the camp grows and you begin to see light in the midst of all the darkness. Betsie does indeed die and very shortly after Corrie is released through a clerical error (the next week all women her age in the camp were gassed). While I think the movie ends with her being released from the camp, the real Corrie makes a cameo at the end of the movie saying she keeps Betsie's example close to her heart. She opened a home for victims of the holocaust, opened her own home to NSBers (the former Dutch collaborators), then later a concentration camp in Germany is remodeled and she opened it to minister to Nazis, helping them dig their way out of that doctrine and find love and forgiveness for themselves.
I think the movie is available on DVD, but your money would be far better spent on the book.
The exact same thing happened to me...Recorded off of TBN and it cut off the ending- Glad people could fill me in on the rest of the story!
shareI know this is a really old thread, but you can watch the whole movie on YouTube. I just finished watching it. I saw it for the first time with my mother.
I could be a morning person if morning happened at noon.
