Chaney vs Philo Beddoe

Who wins?

Personally, I think it would be a very good fight since Chaney seems to be a very calm intelligent fighter...but in the end, I would have to pick Philo Beddoe to pull it out.

Well, Clint Eastwood was/is almost a decade younger than the late Charles Bronson, outweighed him by at least fifty pounds, and was the best part of a foot taller.

Bronson's publicity stats claimed that he was 5'10. According to many who worked with him (including James Coburn and the British director Michael Winner) this was a hilariously vain exaggeration. In reality, once you took Bronson's elevator shoes away he was closer to 5'7.

So Chaney/Bronson against the 6'4 Clint Eastwood?... I should think that sheer size and comparative youth would have swung any fight Eastwood/Beddoe's way.

Although, saying that, Bronson's Chaney is one of the all-time great mythically idealised screen fighters. In the words of the British entertainment weekly Time Out in their 1975 review of this movie -
"A laconic, unemotional, almost Oriental celebration of the mythic fighting hero."

Compared with which, the comedy 'Every Which Way But Loose' and its sequel seem very lightweight. In terms of pure fiction, Chaney has that edge of intensity over Philo Beddoe. Bronson versus Eastwood is of course another matter...

Respect both guys and grown up with them equally but my money is one Bronson.. Onny cause he smaller makes no difference. Bronson had a better body then clint. Clint never jacked up until the 80s... Bronson was build through his full career. Its been said Bronson was strong and fierce and both guys worked hard as kids but bronson took on the mines and survived so makes him the winner hands down. Though personally id like a equal knock down then a look of respect then a quick beer.
