she looks happy enough but not good for someone who never married, had children or held a job.
usually someone who has had a life with no responsibility would look better.
No responsibility? Having a mental illness is a tremendous burden. She worked hard every day of her life.

you're a professional who examined her thoroughly and were able to diagnose her specific problems?
Of course not, but I don't have to know exactly what was wrong with her to know that she was mentally ill. Have you known anyone with mental illnesses? It's painful to witness.

yes, i've known people with mental illness. while i wouldn't chose to live that way, i don't think it's always painful to watch when the person isn't aware she's mentally ill.
You are truly clueless.

maybe i am but it's excellent that you know everything there is to know about people you never met.
Awesome. I'm trying to reason with a 13-year-old. A new low.
Enjoy your teen years.

I think the problem was more that you weren't using reason (which requires using evidence and observation to arrive at conclusions) in your responses to lilypad.
shareYou talking to me?

You don't need to be a doctor to recognize that Little Edie was suffering from a mental illness.
Just like you don't need to be a doctor to recognize that if someone induces vomiting after every meal, they must have an eating disorder.
