the old lady
I was kind of disappointed that Doyle didnt find the old lady beat her ass and get his watch back.
This is Miami Pal, but lately its starting to look a lot like Disney Land!

Au contraire, I felt very sorry for the old lady, "Nobody listens." I was disappointed that Doyle burned the place up considering she lived there.

She was arrested in the novelization which may have been from an earlier draft.

She had the most gnarly hands...also, I was under the impression that when she stole the watch, Doyle really wasn't in a frame of mind to understand his watch was being stolen. She made a pretense of stroking his arm when she did it, but I'm sure she could have probably just walked in and flat out taken it and Doyle wouldn't have cared or remembered.
That being said, Doyle did return to the scene and set the place on fire. While it wasn't meant for the old lady, if she was in the building I doubt she would have survived.
When I saw it on the big screen some decades ago I do recall a scene during the fire that shows her running out and away
