Sequel to the four musketeers? (spoilers)

You know how D'Artagnan gets the letter from Richeliue, making him a lieutenant for the musketeers? Wifey claims this is further explored in a third movie, possibly with the same(ish) actors, but wifey couldn't for sure say what the movie was called.

Would anybody know of something about this?

Edit: Was it possibly the Iron Mask, featuring D'Artagnan now as a lieutenant?

Edit2: Yeah, yeah, I know, this is tedious... Could it be The man in the iron mask from 1977; http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0074853/. At least Richard Chamberlain plays a role in there, although not as a musketeer, but the king... Or is this one a different animal?

Or you could read the novel: Twenty Years After by Dumas. It's a real page turner.
