RIP Chuck Heston. This is one of my favorite films of his.

Same here....his performance in these 2 films is the essence of a great cameo, he haunts the scenes he isnt in

He was a great actor, and did a good job in this role, even if he was physically miscast.

Charlton was originally offered the role of Athos, but he turned it down and asked for the role of the Cardinal.

He looked like he was having a good time with the part. He was trying to get into parts where he played heavies and this was a good one. RIP
