Oscar and Nicky decide to kill off Freddie by drowning her and making it look like a suicide (she has decided to give away her inheritance to charity much to the pair's chagrin). After putting Freddie in a trunk, the two drive to the beach and throw it in the Pacific Ocean. Freddie (hungover) washes up in Long Beach and takes up with the man who has picked her up. The police show up at Oscar and Nicky's house. Oscar, believing that the two are about to be arrested for murder, confesses everything. It turns out the police only wanted to know why the bus they were driving was parked in the street. The two are arrested for Freddie's murder. After the booking, the LAPD take Oscar and Nicky back to the house to parade them in front of the press. Freddie has arrived to pack up her things and leave with the new man. As she is running out the back door, Oscar and Nicky are being lead through the front one. She forgets her pet chicken (aptly named Chicky) and that's when all involved discover she is alive. The police tell her the story of Oscar's confession, but she refuses to believe that the two men who claim to love her would do such a thing. The movie ends with the three going into the house.
