Changes...


It's really interesting to see just how dramatically the City of Chicago has changed in the years since this film's creation. When I was a kid, the city looked exactly like it does in this movie, in the opening credit sequence of "Good Times", in My Bodyguard and in the show "Crime Story". Grey. Urban. Gritty. With trash blowing everywhere. So much has changed so gradually that it's hard to realize it on a day-to-day basis.

Pretty incredible, really. Today's Chicago isn't really the city I grew up in, which is a mixed bag.

By the way, the movie theater scene was filmed in a theater that was very recently demolished.
