Cochise's death was ficticious

I just discovered via another Web site that Cochise's death in this movie was just fiction and created for "dramatic effect." I always wondered how those three guys could do that to him and manage to get away with it.

Yes. Cooley High was a fictional movie.

It was from writer Eric Monte, based on his experiences growing up in Chicago in the '60s.

It was a true to life fiction that soooo close to home to us years later with my family Ben Wilson, #1high school basketball player in the nation in 1984 at Simeon H.S. with my cousin Tim Bankston, gunned down outside the school while waking with his girl

Yeah, I remember that tragedy so well. It was so stupid. Ben accidentally bumped into some guy while walking down the street and said "excuse me," and then the punk pulled out a gun and shot him. Ridiculous.

I remember that Ben became a teen father shortly before his death. Whatever became of his child?

What...you thought it was a documentary?

reply

Nah ...I thought it was a Broadway musical.

LOL!

It had fantastic music, though. The soundtrack is one of my favorites.

Agreed. It was basically the best of 60s' Motown, some of the best pop music ever recorded!

Fictitious stuff happens in fiction all the time.
