I don't know, but I remember really liking the corniness of the jokes. I will never forget Maid Marion protesting her forced marriage yelling out "STOP IN THE NAME OF LOVE, STOP IN THE NAME OF LOVE".. and the women there all start singing the song! LOL... I remember it wasn't on long, but I thought it was brilliant, and I do hope it comes out on DVD. I am sorry to see that only 13 episodes were made. I was hoping to read that, even though only 13 aired, extra episodes had been made but not aired. I suppose that is silly, given that the WEB usually only orders 13 episodes at one time.

C'est la vie! If anyone can get in contact with the owners of this property, please ask them to put it out on DVD. I prefer to only watch one remastered as opposed to illegally transferred from VHS to DVD.

I was about 7 years old when this show was out, and all I remember was that it was hilarious... ask me about any details and I couldn't tell you a thing. I was just thinking about it the other day and wanted to see if anyone else remembered it. It could have been on for 3 years or 3 episodes for all that my memory tells me. Hope it comes out someday on DVD.

The ending of one episode sticks in my mind. It is night in Sherwood Forest, and Robin and his gang are saying goodnight to one another. "Goodnight Robin!", "Goodnight Friar Tuck!", "Goodnight Little John!" and so on. Then someone shouts "Goodnight John-Boy!". Typical Mel Brooks!

I dont see here mentioned the fabulous homage to Abbot and Costello's "Who on first"!
Except it wasd a church abbot played by Dick Patterson. Ha! Ha!

I was 14 when this was on. That awkward age for a girl. I loved this show and all other Mel Brooks series. Like Get Smart and even the little cartoon guy on The Electric Company.
I have all of his movies from the original "The Producers" to the latest "The Producers". Silent Movie was hilarious and no one spoke a word!

I really wish someone would put WTWR on DVD. They were only 30 minutes long, you could get the whole series on 2-3 DVD's!

I just paid $20 for a copy of "Stars & Stripes Forever" for my mom (It wasn't even that good of a copy), you would think that someone would produce this series for the fans.

Agree - I remember loving this show. The theme song still goes through my head from time to time. Guess it wasn't "middle America" enough, whatever that is? Dunno.

Yup, my brothers and I loved this series. So disappointed that it only lasted 1 season. The theme song is STILL in my head to this day.

The only specific scene, however, that I remember was at some feast where they were "hanging the Banners". Then, of course, a man hanging (upside-down?) on the wall introduces himself as So-and-so Banner, along with his wife and kid who are also being hung on the wall.

Would love to be able to re-watch these episodes some day.

It is on DVD. At Amazon, it costs $21.50. You better hurry, cause I bought it a couple of years ago for $14.
