“Music” guests

Doesn’t anyone guesting on this show actually SING anymore? It’s certainly rare. I can’t recall the last time anyone carried a note.

It didn't have a high level of income, or any income for a long time.

I wonder why there seem to be only rap/hip-hop artists as musical guests this season. Is it some rule put in place?
