Which episodes had the famous "Damn it, Julie!" line?

I can hear Bonnie Franklin saying it in my mind but I've watched a few from the first season and I haven't heard it yet. Can anyone think of specific episodes with her saying it?

It's sad to see how out of control and unhealthy MacKenzie Philips was at such a young age. Now that we know what her upbringing was like you can't help but feel for her having to live that out on tv.

I think it was in the 2-parter where Julie was dating an older man (played by the late Jim Hutton), and when he brought her home late, Ann just lost it and yelled, "Damn it, Julie…".

I agree that it's really sad about Mac's drug problem.
IMHO, she was the best actor on the show.

Thank you! I'll check that out!

That girl desperately needed love, if not from home than from Ann Romano. Sad, sad, sad.

Mackenzie Phillips once did say in an interview that the show was a sort of reality check for her, although, Valerie Bertinelli is supposedly the one who remained very close to Bonnie Franklin to the end of her life.

TRIVIA: there's a Family Guy episode where Peter is watching a One Day at a Time marathon, and we keep hearing from the TV "Damn it, Julie!"; "Damn it, Schneider!"; "Damn it, Barbara!"

Ann said "Damn it Julie" when Julie left Max and her daughter Annie.

reply

She said it when Alex skipped school and inadvertently burned down Schneider's camper.
