At least to her adult, married kids.
How many times did they just move back in and disrupt the whole house?

Julie was extremely selfish and thought only of herself. Abandoned Max at least once.

Ann should have set a time limit (month at most) for them to find themselves and get out.

Julie's hubby quit an airline captain job to write a book??
Do that between flights. You have a child which should be your #1 priority.

Am surprised there wasn't an episode where Ann just flipped out. Or was there one I haven't seen?

Ann flipped out in pretty much every episode, it seems. The first thing I think of when I remember her is her anger.

She could be a pit bull when she wanted to but somehow let her adult children and their spouses steamroll all over her. She did yell at a client in that time period instead which affected her and Francine's business. Ann was a hot mess in that arc.

It was all simply a plot device to get Sam to propose to her on a horse of all things! 😄
