I personally think it's one of the best sitcom theme songs ever. It's just so positive and upbeat and I find when i'm having a crappy day, just singing the lyrics in my head brightens up my outlook and puts things in perspective.
Another positive favorite is the Laverne & Shirley opening. I wish shows today had great openings like that.
I love both ODAAT and Laverne and Shirley theme songs too! Also the Love Boat and Petticoat Junction for me! They are really catchy and upbeat!

shareI also remember hearing the "Cheers" theme song on the radio back in the day too...so it is kind of head scratching why ODAAT song didn't make the cut. It's just so peppy and upbeat.
shareI agree it's one of the best theme songs! I think these days they would have made a song from it like Friends did. I always blast the TV up when this song comes on. And I love the Alice theme song(s) as well. And Facts of Life too lol
