Possible motion picture version of Baretta?

I heard a rumor about a possible big screen version, starring Ben Stiller in a comedy send up of the classic tv series, sort of like he and Owen Wilson did for Starsky and Hutch, anyone else confirm this?

If it's true, I think that it's a bad idea beause the original is a classic and should be left alone.

If they do a remake I think Mark Walberg would be GREAT in the role. With his street background let him just be himself in modern times and your guaranteed a hit!

Gee I sure hope not.This seeries needs to be left alone.Robert Blake is the only one to be Baretta and nobody else I feel can ever do justice to playing that role again.Nobody was ever tough enough to play Baretta but Robert Blake.It was meant for him and only him.Just like Kojak was meant for only Telly Savalas,and so on.
