I like the character, but I find him really annoying when they show him with women and he's smooth talking them. God some of the lines he comes up with and the way he talks to them is cringeworthy. Also when he keeps kissing his bird on the mouth. Also he always looks like he hasn't slept or showered in 2 weeks.

shareMy aren't we a little sensitive? I happen to love this show and I also really like the character. I"m currently watching it and I'm up to season 3. This is one of the most solid crime dramas I've seen. Very few bad episodes. I was just pointing out a few things that annoyed me sometimes. This is a message board. shareI agree that the boards are for airing all views and opinions, and I also agree that most of us who frequent this particular board are a little sensitive. The star of the show is rather controversial now and sometimes it seems like any poster that doesn't glorify every aspect of the show is eventually going to start blasting Robert Blake.
I don't suppose you have the entirety of season 4? I've seen all of seasons 1-3, but only a handful of season 4. That season seems to be hard to come by.
The controversy surrounding robert blake never crosses my mind for even a second while I"m watching the show. There's just a few pet peeves I have about the character, that's all. I don't have the whole season 4. Just 7 episodes. Nobody has the whole season.

Yeah I agree with ya there. It seemed like Billy lived in Baretta's appartment too. Everytime he came home, there was billy in his apartment getting drunk with the bird
shareI was a teenager in the 70's when Baretta was on and I loved the show. I always wondered why he lived in a dump of an apartment? It looked like it was located in skid row! The 70's was the heyday of cop shows: Baretta, Starksy and Hutch, Policewoman, Police Story, Barney Miller, Ironsides whew there are so many!
Baretta was near the top of the list for me. I wonder what happened to the Bird?
