I recently purchased the Code Red release of Horror High. The commentary track mentions that the movie was released in 1974, but filmed "much earlier". Does anyone know during what year and month(s)the movie was filmed. I'm guessing sometime in 1973.

shareA film's copyright date is the date when it was copyrighted whereas its release date is when it was made available to the public. Usually, if a movie is made and copyrighted in a certain year, it's released the next year. This isn't always the case, however. In rare cases the movie is released the same year it was shot; sometimes it sits on the shelf for 2-3 years (or longer) before being released.
